Someone special waits for the priest in the church and the real miracle happens (Photo)

Don Nicola Ruggerioriginally from Quartu Sant’Elena (CA), is the parish priest of church of Santa Barbaraa Senorbi.

Like every day, Don Nicola deals with the confessions of his parishioners. But on Saint Catherine’s day there was a different sinner waiting for him…

What time are confirmations?

Inside the church, in fact, a beautiful wet four-legged puppy was waiting for him in the heat. Yes, because that day in Senorbì there was a heavy storm and the little girl did nothing but seek shelter in the house of the Lord. And never has shelter been more miraculous!

After Don Nicola’s cuddles, in fact, the puppy also met the parishioner Elisa Masciaalways active in finding a home for the most unfortunate animals, who managed to find them a forever home where they can receive all the love it deserves. As they say, the ways of the Lord are endless!

All of God’s creatures are welcome!

As he himself told us, it is not the first time that Don Nicola welcomes animals in his parish:

«It has already happened several times that some animal enters, alone or accompanied by the master. I’ve never had any difficulty welcoming them into church.”

And keeps going:

“My concept is that among the most beautiful things that God has created are animals, which keep us company and listen to our feelings in joy and in pain”, said the parish priest interviewed by Todocat.

Don Nicola also had a German Shepherd for more than 14 years, who died about two months ago. Currently shares his life with the cat Arthurwhich he found in the engine of the car:

“Animals make us understand that God has thought of many aspects of our life: a priest has no family of his own but has an animal; this makes you feel that the Lord loves us», continues the parish priest.

And we share the thought of Don Nicola: animals help man to love his neighbor more and to curb selfishness. An example to follow! Thank you Don Nicola for these nice words and initiatives for our four-legged friends!
