Petitou he is a lovely 5 month old puppy who already has a long history behind him. When he arrived at the association Act for animalswhich is located in France, near Toulouse, weighed only 3 kg and had several problems.
Blind and deafhad still managed to overcome these two handicaps by getting away with it as best he could, but something very serious had yet to come to light.
A hole in the diaphragm
In fact, the veterinary visit revealed an injury that would not have given him a chance if he hadn’t been rescued quickly: a hole in the diaphragm, with a prolapse of several organs. Without the intervention of a vet, poor Petitou he was doomed.
This lesion was probably caused by an extremely violent blow dealt to the puppy when he was only 3 months old: one thinks of a strong kick. But how can such a thing be done?
The association wanted to take care of him and planned a surgeryraising around 800 euros thanks to generous donors who were moved by his story.
Survived!
Despite the risks of that surgery, Petitou made it! The anger of the volunteers at the situation of this little dog has turned into a powerful call to life in this one stubborn and combative puppywho now wants to find a family for life!
The little one still has a lot to learn and his desire is to live happy in a house where there are other dogs to be able to play with and to be able to learn to relate easily with his kind and other animals.
Petitou, who will remain small in size, given that he appears to be a Jack Russell crossbreed, is truly a special little dog: full of joy, he loves his dog friends and gets along well with cats too!
