Senior dog gives up hope of finding a home, then the turning point comes

Animal shelters often work hard to find new homes for the dogs and cats in their care.

But despite their best efforts, some animals, like the Franus senior dog in today’s history, they are never adopted.

No hope

After waiting so long to find a forever home, it’s no surprise that Franus has lost hope.

Seeing the dog surrender like that was heartbreaking for the shelter staff, who had grown so fond of him. So, the volunteers decided it was time for take matters into your own hands.

The post on Facebook goes viral

The staff turned to Facebook to share Franus’s story, hoping someone would step forward and offer him a loving home.

The photo shows Franus with his head down, looking incredibly sad. The staff explained that the poor four-legged spent hours like this, not only as if he had given up hope of finding a home, but as if he had also given up his life.

The heartbreaking post was shared about thousands of timeswith people urging friends and family to consider adopting the adorable puppy while others shared their positive experiences of adopting an older dog.

The happy ending

Eventually, Franus’s story reached one family who was looking for a new pet. She contacted the shelter and offered to give the little dog a home where she could happily experience the last moments of her life.

Shortly after theadoption of Franus, the shelter shared a beautiful photo of the dog with his smiling human little sister. Eventually, the little dog looked happy, relaxed, and most importantly, amato.
