Rescue of twenty dogs in bad shape and left to fend for themselves after the eviction of their negligent owner

33 dogs, including 7 who unfortunately died, were discovered at a breeder in Calvados. The Stéphane Lamart association and another local shelter rescued and cared for the survivors, who needed extensive care because of the extreme neglect to which they were subjected.

Located at Orbec (14), dog breeding was far from meeting standards. Royal Poodles lived there in deplorable conditions and without the minimum of care. Their owner was the subject of an eviction procedure on Friday August 19, following which the animals could be saved, reported The Pays d’Auge.

That day, the bailiff noted the presence of 26 dogs, but also the corpses of 7 others deposited in a freezer. Defendants, gendarmes and veterinarians intervened in turn, and the public prosecutor ordered the seizure of the quadrupeds.
