Annie is a Husky-Border Collie mix and for her owners she is a fundamental help, without which Matthew would risk his life today.
Matthew Nielsen lives in Nevada (USA) and has been suffering from a serious condition for almost 3 years: epilepsy.
An impeccable supervisor
Little Annie sleeps on the bed with her owners as she is able to do an amazing thing: the little dog senses when Metthew is about to have a seizure. When that happens, she immediately rushes to alert Catherine, her partner.
Annie knows she will have to get her attention with a paw gesture or eye contact, as her mistress doesn’t hear from her left ear.

Catherine has a monitor on the bed that allows her to observe her husband even when he is in another room and, thanks to this technology, she has captured a moment of daily life with a tragic first impact, but which reveals all the love and dedication of this dog.
The cameras intercept one epileptic crisis man: Annie notices immediately, and turns to make sure that her mistress has woken up and is aware of what is happening. Luckily she is just like that:

Annie was never trained, Catherine recounts in the video. She is an extremely sensitive and intelligent dog and does everything by herself.
When he feels that something is wrong, it always stays close to its master and gives him comfort throughout the crisis.
But it is even more valuable because even when Catherine is not keeping Matthew under control, Annie is there to do so, who will promptly warn her in case of danger.
What would happen without Annie?
Her story has become so popular that many write to it to share their experiences. Someone asked her what happens if the dog isn’t there to warn her.
The woman replied that this cannot happen because of the dog, but rather when she is out of the house and Annie has no one to alert. In fact, in one of these circumstances Matthew injured his face.
