The facts date back to Friday August 19, 2022. Residents contacted the authorities after witnessing acts of abuse towards a defenseless canine. The man was tried in immediate appearance less than a week after his heinous actions.

Friday August 19, 2022, the 54-year-old owner brutally beat up his faithful companion in the middle of the street Sweat au Havre (Seine-Maritime).
Although it was only 7 a.m., residents of the neighborhood filmed the scene and warned without waiting for the Urban Supervision Center (CSU) from the city.
“He punched and kicked the animal several times, which, according to the videos, was having great difficulty walking”revealed a spokesperson to 24 Matins.fr.
The 50-year-old would also have violently thrown his dog to the ground. Fortunately, the witnesses were able to take the license plate from his vehicle, which enabled the authorities to find his trace quickly and apprehend him the same day.

The CSU called the police to arrest the individual at his home. “This man was known to have not very tender tendencies with his German Shepherd. But so far, these behaviors had not shown such marked violence.revealed the spokesperson of the CSU.
The doggie was therefore seized and taken to the veterinary clinic where he received an in-depth health examination.
He was then placed in the care of a foster family in the SPA. He slowly regains a taste for life before being offered for adoption, this time in a loving and caring home where he can enjoy happy days.

The offender, meanwhile, went before the court of Havre this Thursday, August 25, 2022.
He was sentenced to a one-year suspended prison sentence, a fine of 1,500 euros and a ban on keeping a pet for the next 5 years.
