An adorable red-haired cat surprised her owners when they had just traveled a long way, and thought they had left without her, reported the Huffpost.
At the end of July, its owner Andrea Scholtenher husband and their children had left their home in Saint Albans in Maine, to travel by motorhome to an air show in Oshkosh in Wisconsin, 2000 kilometers away.
Their pussy Delilah wasn’t supposed to be on the trip, but she gave them a huge surprise. It is only when arriving at Toledo in Ohio, nearly 1,000 miles from home, that they realized it.

The family then bought everything necessary for the cat on the spot: food, litter, collar to write her name on it… “ We weren’t prepared for this at all “says its owner.
She thinks that Delilah had snuck into the motorhome while it was being loaded, just before departure.
Unexpected star of the air show
Sharing her story on social media made her a celebrity, especially when they arrived at the event EAA AirVenture 2022 at Oshkosh. Its success was such that one of the planes drew a cat in the sky as a nod to its adventure.
On the way back, the family took the time to visit the Chutes du Niagara. An experience that Delilah obviously appreciated.
