At Christmas you can, do what you can never do… quotes a famous song. And this year we at Todocat want to invite you to do something for our friends dogs and cats who, unfortunately, have not yet found the love of a family willing to welcome them into their homes for life.
Each of us, at least once in our life, will have received a Christmas basket full of goodies in this period: panettone, bottles, biscuits and so on and so forth… Well, this year we can prepare one ourselves and make the animals in the shelters happy. How? We explain it to you below!
Step 1: Create your basket!
You don’t have to be Giovanni Muciaccia to create a Christmas basket (we don’t even know how to draw a tree, but we did it!): just buy any basketcover it with a little tissue paper in the colors of the holidays and dress it up a bit as you like. We have chosen red and blue for our basket, but you are free to choose the colors and decorations that you like best, the important thing will be the content (and the gesture)!
For our basket we have chosen many baby food for dogs and cats, puppies and adults, from different brands and we have divided some biscuits into colored bags. But you are free to you can enter what you like best: toys, blankets to protect them from the cold and so on and so forth.
Step 2: take her to the shelter or kennel/cat shelter closest to your home
Now that the basket is ready, all you have to do is take it to the shelter or kennel/cat shelter closest to your home.
Dogs and cats without a home yet will receive a little Christmas treat and the volunteers will receive great help. As they say… a small gesture for man, a great gesture for humanity!
Step 3: Share on social media and invite everyone to do the same!
Take a photo or video of the basket delivery and share it on social networks with the hashtag #Nataleancheperloro tagging Todocat Italia.
Our goal is that how many more shelters in Italy can receive a gift this year and to make the dogs and cats happy who have not yet had the joy of spending a Christmas with the family.
