During the Christmas holidays 2022, a 10-year-old Rottweiler dog was rescued from Monmouth County SPCAlocated in New Jersey, USA.
The poor four-legged has been found chained outside a house, without food or water.
Left out for days
As revealed in a Facebook post from the SPCAthe owners of the furry, called Cocoabandoned their dog after they left after the pipes in their home froze.
Coco spent 3 nights outdoors in temperatures that went below freezing. The dog, in great distress, was taken to the shelter to be nourished and hydrated.
Creepy conditions
Also, Coco’s blood tests showed a few Health problems. According to Monmouth County SPCA, “He could have kidney stones, as well as a genetic eye disease which is probably the result of inadequate breeding in a less serious herd.”

Good news!
The fur baby remained in the shelter until she fully recovered and was then offered for adoption.
The good news is that Coco has been adopted in early January 2023 from a family who will love and respect her forever.
Less good news, however, for its former owners who have been accused of animal abuse and they will have to face two charges: cruel immobilization and lack of necessary care. Let’s hope that justice takes its course.
