Husky and Rottweiler crossing: discovering the Rottsky

Rottsky, fruit of the perfect Husky and Rottweiler crossbreed. In the history of the dog there are many crossbreeds that, through ever more in-depth knowledge of him, man has been able to make between the various dog breeds.

Still, there’s nothing to worry about: the dog has been accompanying man’s life for 9,000 years, and during this journey together, the awareness of life for both has increased thanks to coexistence and mutual study.

That is why, today, there are so many “mixed breed dogs”, the result of crossings between dogs of different breeds, which make the latter beautiful and unique in their kind. This is, as we said just above, the case of the mix between Husky and Rottweiler: a specimen characterized by profound physical and character peculiarities, which we see together in this article.

The origins of the Husky – Rottweiler cross

The Rottsky was created, at least twenty years ago, by crossing a Siberian Husky with a Rottweiler and was recognized by theInternational Designer Canine Registry and from Designer Breed Registry. Although these are two very ancient and well-known breeds, this one it is still a fairly rare type of dogwhich is why not many people have seen (or even owned) one.

Rottsky’s physical characteristics

Weight

As with all mixed-breed dogs (especially those not yet widespread), the Rottsky too it doesn’t have a well-defined size: the weight, for example, varies a lot from puppy to puppy and can go from 25 to 45 kg.

Fur

Depending on whether Rottsky takes from his father or from his mother, then, also theappearance, type and color of coat they can vary: in some cases the puppy looks like a soft Husky with longer hair than usual, other times it has shorter hair, just like the Rottweiler. The color of the coat, then, can vary from brown to black, from white to gray and even red.

Eyes

A constant of all Rottskys is, however, that represented by eyes: the latter are for the most part clear, like those of the Siberian Husky. However, cases of heterochromia are not uncommon, i.e. leading both Rottsky’s eyes to be of two different colors.

The character of a dog resulting from the cross between Husky and Rottweiler

As far as character is concerned, the Rottsky is very sociable and fond of his family, a trait that makes him the ideal dog for mothers, fathers and children. Typically this is a lot puppy intelligent, loyal, courageous, always alert and attentive: independent like his parents, however, loves human company and is not considered a dangerous dog.

If we really have to talk about pecchie, these are to be found on the side stubborn and independent of his character: this trait, in fact, could make training more difficult, to the point that it takes a master of wrist and coherence to work with him.

It is therefore essential that Rottsky comes educated as soon as possiblestill as a puppy, with training sessions not too long to ensure that the dog does not get bored and with high intensity of movement, since the Rottsky likes to run and play.
