Have you ever bought a toy for your dog and then did you regret it as soon as you gave it to him?

This is probably what happened to the owners of this cute – and melodramatic – German Shepherd.

At first glance, a rubber chicken can make a great interactive toy. It is soft, it lets itself be done without biting, it also makes sounds…

A diabolical game?

That’s what this cute little dog must have thought when he first started step on his rubber chicken.

Realizing that the thing was emitting a kind of moan, he couldn’t stop himself from starting to howldramatically, as if it responded to that shape that moaned every time it crushed it with its paw!

The scene really is fun: look how concentrated the little dog is while accompanying the sound emitted by the rubber chicken with its howl!

But does he like it or does he not like it?

It is difficult to know beforehand what reaction such a toy will trigger in your four legs, because everything it depends on the dog itself.

Certainly some dogs start howling when they feel determined high-pitched soundslike that of a siren or a particular music.

In the past it was believed that the reason dogs howled at hearing a screeching noise was because that sound annoyed their ears.

What is the reason for this behavior?

It is now known that this is not the cause of this common way of doing things in dogs. In fact, many experts agree that such behavior is inherited from wolves.

In fact those sounds have some similarities with those made by a pack of wolves or wild dogs that howl when a member of the pack has gone away and want to guide it to get him back to them.
