Flood Cats Seek Home (Video)

The story of Ciaccia and Gideone

Among the many cats rescued is Ciaccia, also known as “the cat of the floods“. The cat, in fact, had already survived a ‘flood of 2014 and, eight years later, history repeats itself. Fortunately, once again a heart of gold managed to bring her to safety and entrusted her to the care of theassociation Gattofili.

Then, there is Gideongray big cat with a crumpled ear: he too hopes to find one soon family.

Cats seeking help

But Ciaccia and Gideone are not the only ones: they are at least a dozen kittens rescued from the association, not always in good condition.

Some have been found with necrosis due to the mud, others were found on sheds and garages and therefore remained for days without eating, so a lot undernourished and dehydrated.

Many, unfortunately, they haven’t returned home yet, but hope is the last to die. And as stated by Martina Pieriniof the association Gattofili Anonymous of Senigallia, to the local press:

«The cat is a very shrewd animal, it often manages to save itself. The only problem is that with all this change in the environment and smells, she may have a hard time finding a home. A piece of advice could be to put out something that belonged to the cat and that smells him so that he can find the house. “
