On his Facebook account, the German refuge Bergheim has decided to share a “mysterious” photo with his followers.
The only indication from the volunteers was: «the object was taken from the belly of a cat».
A dangerous ingestion
In fact, the photo shows a red object that was chewed by the feline of the house. But what is it about?
Seven hours after the publication of the photo, the shelter breaks the silence and gives the answer that makes internet users gasp.
The red object is a hearing aid which “landed” in a cat’s belly. But unfortunately the tragic story does not end here:
“After swallowing it, he not only had a stomach ache, but also immediately lost his home!”
Unfortunately, there was no chance that the hearing aid could be removed from the animal naturally.
It was therefore urgent to operate on the poor kitty. But this put a problem for cat owners:
“The owners were unable or unwilling to pay for the life-saving surgery and delivered the cat directly to the veterinary clinic.”
The urgent appeal of the shelter
Obviously the volunteers didn’t let the cat go and have covered the costs of the intervention who saved his life.
The operation was successful and one will be found as soon as possible more responsible family for the animal.
At the end of the post, the refuge Bergheim takes the opportunity to launch an appeal:
“Dear friends, we can’t say it enough: please take care of your pets! Take out insurance or put some money aside.’
