A man residing in the State ofArizona to United States was returning home from his shift when he made a strange discovery on the side of the road.
Despite the traffic, he could hear the desperate mewing of a feline located next to a fence.
The Good Samaritan did not hesitate for a second and stopped his vehicle to take a closer look at what was happening. To his dismay, a white and ginger tabby had his right front paw stuck in the trellis.
Moreover, blood was dripping from a serious wound, indicating that he had done his best to extricate himself from this trap. He also appeared to be suffering from a jaw injury.
The individual therefore contacted the emergency services so as not to inflict terrible pain on him by releasing him. But after several hours of waiting, no one arrived.
A gentle rescue
The man therefore took his courage in both hands, took a tool found in the trunk of his vehicle and cut the wires that imprisoned the tomcat.
After a few minutes of effort, he finally succeeded in his mission and took the unfortunate man to the care center Arizona Humane Society.
The poor animal had emergency surgery on the jaw and legs.
After a few days of convalescence, the tomcat, named Freeway, got back on track. His rescuer came to visit him regularly to provide support and comfort.
Finally, he confessed to the team of caregivers that he wanted to adopt him permanently so that he no longer had to undergo such experiences, reports Daily Cats. He had fallen in love with the brave feline.
Freeway has therefore integrated its new neighborhoods into a warm and cozy home. He is now fully recovered and fully enjoys with his caring master who has found in him a friend for life.
