3 small dogs abandoned in a box in a parking lot receive emergency veterinary care

Associations campaigning against cruelty to animals feel helpless in the face of the record number of cases recorded this summer. These 3 canines were cowardly abandoned in a deplorable state of health. They regain strength within the shelter while waiting for their adoption.

Sunday August 14, a man left his 3 dogs in a box in the parking lot of the historic monument ofAvebury au UK before leaving the premises without looking back.

The 2 older Chihuahua females, named Babe et Tinkerbellas well as the younger male called Ferdinand were in a worrying state of health. “These 3 dogs were thrown out like trash and left outside during the record high temperatures of the recent heat wave”lamented Sharon Chrisp from RSPCA au Mirror.

A local resident saw the trio and rushed to their aid. He then drove the canines to the veterinary clinic which took care of them urgently.

In fact, one of them Babe, suffered a serious open wound to the right hind leg. The surgeon had no other option than to amputate his limb during a major operation to guarantee his survival.

Association for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals RSPCA was notified and picked up the doggies. “They are now in our care and we will do everything we can to help them recover and give them a chance to experience what they so deserve.”clarified Sharon.

“With the increase in the number of dog owners and the cost of living crisis weighing on their finances, we fear that we will see more animals cruelly abandoned in this way”has explained Sharon.

Indeed, the numbers are chilling. The organization has received approximately 90,000 calls to report deliberate cruelty each month and is currently investigating as many as 6,000 cases.
